Gymnastics Academy

We have classes available at iSTAR Academy in Rhythmic Gymnastics and Acro/Tumbling.

You can trial one of our classes before signing up. To book a trial please click this link

Once your child has done a trial and would like to join our classes at iSTAR, you need to become a member. Our membership fee is £30 and runs from September 2025 - September 2026. You will also receive an iSTAR t-shirt when you sign up! You can become a member by visiting the home page on our website!

All our Gymnastics Academy classes take place at Shoreham Academy, Kingston Lane, Shoreham-by-Sea, West Sussex, BN43 6YT

RHYTHMIC GYMNASTICS

Rhythmic Gymnastics is an Olympic sport that combines acro (cartwheels, rolls, walkovers), dance and hand apparatus such as ribbon, hoop and ball.

Rhythmic Gymnastics is part of British Gymnastics, therefore all gymnasts must sign up to British Gymnastics membership British Gymnastics

Groups are determined by what year they are in at school (Reception, Year 6 etc..)

Recreational Rhythmic Gymnastics Classes available

Monday 5 -6 pm (Reception to School Year 6) Groups will be split according to age.

Saturday 9 - 10 am (Reception to School Year 6) Groups will be split according to age.

As well as having Recreational pathways in Rhythmic Gymnastics, we also have a RG Squad Programme for 6+ years for regional, national and international pathways. If your child would like to audition/trial for our competitive rhythmic gymnastics pathway or if you would like more information, please contact us on info@i-staracademy.co.uk.

Our successful Rhythmic Gymnastics Squad Programme has produced Regional and National Champions, with iSTAR gymnasts competing in Commonwealth Games, European Championsips and World Championships.

ACRO/TUMBLING

Our Acro/Tumbling Programme is non competitive. Students will learn and develop tumbling skills such as cartwheels, handstands, walkovers, aerials, back/front handsprings and somersaults.

Groups are determined by what year they are in at school (Reception, Year 6 etc..)

Acro/Tumbling Classes available

Monday 6 - 7 pm (Reception to School Year 6) Groups will be split according to age

Tuesdays 5 -6 pm (Reception to School Year 6) Groups will be split according to age

Wednesdays 5 - 6 pm (Reception to School Year 2 Groups will be split according to age and ability

Wednesdays 6 - 7 pm (School Year 3 to School Year 6) Groups will be split according to age and abilty (There is also a boys acro group for Year 3 -Year 6)

Wednesdays 7 - 8 pm (School Year 7 +) Groups will be split according to age and ability (There is also a boys acro group for Years 6 - Year 11)

Saturdays 10 - 11 am (Reception to School Year 6) Groups will be split according to age and ability
